How Screen Printing Works: (Simulated Design)
A 3-color Front Print.
This design will require 36 shirts to meet the minimum.
3 screens will be made, separating each of the colors;
Light Green, Dark Green and Yellow.
Using the same design
as above, we have reduced it down to 1 color; 1 screen.
By utilizing halftones, the design takes on a two-toned
effect, making it appear to have 2 separate colors.
Halftones come out looking like tiny dots that make
up the shape of the design.
This design is now
using solid colors;
1 screen.
Notice the simulated difference between the single
and double hit shirts.
A Single Hit of a light color on a dark garment leaves
a little of the darker garments' color showing through.
A Double hit of the light color on the dark garment
will make the final print appear more solid and a
little thicker on the shirt.
